The short answer is that a rebrand consultant helps a company define and grow their reputation in the way that is best for them and their target audience. Often, a rebrand consultant will work with senior managers and marketing teams to help companies reach their full potential.

A rebrand consultant has a few main responsibilities when it comes to redirecting the growth of your brand. Let’s take a look at a few of them: 

Research

It’s extremely important that a rebrand consultant does their homework. There are so many factors to consider before recommending big changes. They have to look into the history, story, goals, and team of the company they’re rebranding. It’s important to know about the industry the company is part of, as well as failures and successes of others in that industry. They must also focus on defining the needs of customers and coming up with ways that this company can better meet those needs in the future. 

Strategy

When research is complete, a brand consultant can move on to start creating a strategy for the company’s future. This may involve writing or rewriting their purpose, mission, and values, among other things. It will help the company create a more defined brand story. 

The strategy also involves identifying gaps in customer need and opportunities for the company to meet and all them.

Design

In the design stage, the visual aspect of the brand needs to meet and represent the brand’s new position through creative development. The consultant may advise on name change ideas, logo design, website structure and design, marketing messages, customer experience, and more!
