The Challenge

Kenneth Homes was a legacy name that no longer connected to the heart of the company. It was great for starting up, but now they wanted to niche down and make a new name for themselves within the custom home building industry and move away from the basement renovations and additions they were known for. 

They wanted the entire project from planning the home and the functions, to the building with most sought after materials and higher standards right down to the interior design and finishes. However, they had to create a new brand that won the hearts of potential homeowners and created the level of trust needed in this industry.

The Solution

During our Define Before Design® sessions, we unearthed some customer pain points that created tension during the home building process. Instead of accepting these pain points, we crafted an internal brand experience that would solve these issues and create a deep level of trust and understanding between the homeowners and Ever After. We positioned them as the homebuilder who truly is building for the future – with an emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency. This is why the logo feels very earthy and the colour scheme is also inspired by earth tones. 

Ever After is a purpose-driven company that is very aware that they are making dreams come true and creating the backdrop to memories and moments for a lifetime. People who hire Ever After to build their home will be a part of the process, and will feel involved and heard every step of the way. They are not building a home, they are building their happily Ever After. 

Upon completion of the home, Ever After will gift their homeowners with a hosted house-warming party and a “fairy tale book” that highlights the past year’s process and lists all the details of the home. This “fairy tale book” was at the foundation of our brand strategy and influnced the name Ever After and the logo design that resembles a crown, and pages of a book with a heart in the middle of it. (We just LOVE this rebrand). 

 

 


After this rebrand, people’s perception of Ever After will match the brand experience they will receive, ultimately creating trust and brand advocacy.
