What happens when your mission is bigger than your brand?
Canmore is a forward-thinking company tackling the plastic waste problem at its source. They create refillable hand soaps, body washes, shampoos, and conditioners packaged in lightweight, recyclable aluminum cans, never plastic.
We partnered with them to help clarify their brand and elevate their presence in the market.
Through our Define Before Design® process, we supported them with:
- Define Before Design® Sessions
- Brand Experience Strategy
- Naming
- Tagline Development
- Logo Design
- Visual Brand Identity
- Content Writing
- Product Label Design
The Challenge
Before working with us, this brand was known as “The Peeled Pantry”, a refillery that also launched its own line of soaps. While their mission to reduce plastic waste was strong, their brand identity wasn’t.
The name didn’t reflect their bold vision, and the soft, delicate look didn’t match the passionate movement they wanted to build. Instead of standing out, they blended in with other soap companies. They needed a new name, something witty, meaningful, and distinctive, along with a brand identity that could give them the loud, unapologetic voice they were ready to share with the world.
Our Approach
We began with brand consulting sessions to define their vision, values, and personality, giving the team clarity on what they stood for. From there, we explored naming directions that were witty, bold, and meaningful, ultimately landing on a name that reflected both their mission and their decision to package products in aluminum instead of plastic.
With the foundation in place, we built a visual identity system that was loud, modern, and adaptable across their many scent profiles. The result was a cohesive look and voice that set them apart, rallied their community, and made their passion for sustainability impossible to ignore.
The Outcome
The rebrand gave them a platform to raise awareness for a bigger cause and stand out in a crowded market. With a bold, cohesive visual identity and a memorable name, they now create marketing materials and social content that turn heads. Most importantly, they’ve differentiated themselves from other soap brands and are attracting the right audience, who connect with their mission and values.
