Brand awareness is a huge part of your brand. What it really means is how much your customers are able to recall or recognize a brand. It’s an important thing to consider when strategizing your company’s growth. The more brand awareness you have, the more quickly your potential customers will think of you in the future.
Here are a few ideas as to how you can work on building your brand awareness.
Local Partnerships
Get out there and rub elbows with other business owners in your own community. It can be as simple as having a good old conversation. Many towns and cities have networking groups you can join where you can learn about other businesses and have them learn about you! By creating local partnerships, you’re creating brand advocates and there’s almost nothing better than that!
Social Media Contests
Run a social media contest asking people to share, like, or follow you. By asking them to link their friends’ accounts to your contest post, you will be exposing your brand to many more people! Just make sure it’s a prize that will get you in front of the right audience.
Blogging
Depending on the type of business you are running, you might be wondering if people would be interested in reading what you have to write. We’re not asking you to become a full-time lifestyle blogger or anything, but blogging is very valuable for your websites. Tags and keywords inform Google of what you’re providing information on, and it helps Google know who would be interested in your company! A blog could be the difference between page 1 and page 21 of Google search results.
Infographics & Videos
As much as we like to talk (or write), many people aren’t that interested in listening (or reading). So how do you get your message out to those people?
Try making it fun. Can you explain the services you provide by creating a colourful, informative infographic? How about an interactive website that people enjoy using? Or a beautiful video that shows your products and how to use them? Brainstorm how you can make it easy and fun for your target audience to absorb the information you want to share.
Free Stuff!
People may deny it, but everyone loves free stuff. We recommend that you take the time to really think through what people would value. What will they keep in their purses and pockets, or place in their desk drawers for easy access? The longer they keep this free item, the more often they will see your logo!
